- Additional Manthey premises in Freudenstadt (BW)
- Series production of up to 6000 wheels per year planned
- First product already with successful TÜV approval
Freudenstadt. Manthey has opened another location in Freudenstadt, Baden-Württemberg, in July 2023 and has been manufacturing in-house developed forged wheels there ever since. The company, which was founded in 1996 as a racing team, is thus expanding its product and service portfolio once again. Within a very short space of time, the performance specialist started manufacturing the first prototypes with 5 machines on 600 square metres. The first wheel was produced in Freudenstadt just 15 weeks after the idea was conceptualised. The first product, which is to go into series production, has already undergone and successfully passed the TÜV tests. Manthey is planning a production volume of 1500 wheel sets per year.
Manthey has been based in the Meuspath business park not far from the Nürburgring since 2000 and has grown strongly since the merger with the brothers Nicolas and Martin Raeder and the involvement of Porsche in 2013. The company now employs more than 300 people. The site in Meuspath comprises six halls - the seventh building is currently under construction.
„We never stand still and we always have new ideas when it comes to products and services - that's what sets us apart. The decision to develop and manufacture our own wheels and the decision in favour of the new site in Freudenstadt was made quickly. It makes us proud to see how quickly everything went. We expect this expansion to enable us to respond perfectly to the wishes of our customers and to tap into new customer groups," explains Martin Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH.
